About Me
Welcome to my personal website!
My name is Collin Kushner and I'm an Emmy Award-Winning Video Producer/Storyteller. Currently, I'm a Video Producer at Yahoo! Sports in Los Angeles, CA. I'm also the Host/Producer of the 'Hey, where'd you go' podcast, focusing on what former high school, collegiate and professional athletes are doing today. You can check out 'Hey, where'd you go?' on YouTube I Apple Podcasts I Spotify. For more information about the podcast, please check out the 'Hey where'd you go?' tab! In a nutshell, I love experimenting and creating new video content, making an idea come to life. There's something unique and profound about turning a blank canvas into something truly special.
Here are a few fun, personal facts about me:
1. I was born and raised in Orange County, California - Irvine to be exact. According to Wikipedia, which is considered a very reliable source, Irvine is the hockey hotbed of the United States.
2. I've always loved sports, comedy, the human spirit and storytelling... and I've been lucky enough to combine my three passions.
3. I played one season of collegiate ice hockey at Arizona State University. For some odd reason, I decided to become a goalie... To this day, I'm still not sure why.
4. My entire family is from Detroit, Michigan... So, unfortunately or fortunately, I love the Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons, Lions, and University of Michigan athletics.
5. Over the course of my life, I've lived in Southern California, Northern California, Louisiana and Arizona. Living in the heart of Cajun Country — Lafayette, LA — was one of the most profound experiences of my life.
6. I am a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Geaux Devils!
